Lisa Hughes - Powell & Co Finance Manager

Powell & Co Construction, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of Poultry Housing and Agricultural Buildings, is delighted to welcome Lisa Hughes as Finance Manager.

The appointment of Lisa comes at an exciting time for the business as it continues to grow and strengthen its position in the poultry sector as a key manufacturer of high-quality poultry buildings.  The family-owned business has recently marked its 20-year anniversary and remains a key employer in North Herefordshire with over 70 members of the team.

Lisa previously worked in the Anaerobic Digestion Industry and prior to that at an accounts practice.  With AAT level 3, Sage accounting and payroll, along with her knowledge of manufacturing and the farming sector, she brings extensive experience to the team.

Commenting on her appointment, Lisa says, “The business has a fantastic customer focussed, process driven culture with a real emphasis on manufacturing high-quality buildings specific to the needs of each client.  I look forward to further developing the processes and efficiency of the accounts function whilst continuing my AAT studies.”

As Finance Manager, Lisa’s role will oversee the running of the finance team reporting to Head of Finance, Luke Powell whose father Don and brother Jason are Owner/Directors.  Lisa will monitor projects, budgets, analyse costs, run the credit control and provide monthly reports to the management team.
