Nationwide, we have we have designed, fabricated and constructed a range of buildings for turkey producers.
The range of sizes constructed have enabled clients to achieve maximum commercial benefits from exceptionally well laid out houses.
Our builds have included modern turkey breeding houses along with free range houses. We understand that producers often have bespoke specifications for house size, particularly height and we are experienced in meeting these requirements.
In addition to new houses, the Powell & Co team have completed many refurbishments to improve the performance of the house, the environmental credentials and overall appearance.
High Quality Insulation
Optimum temperature of houses is paramount when rearing turkeys; therefore we design, source and install high quality insulation panels that perform. Insulation will deliver energy efficiencies and materials are sustainably sourced from accredited suppliers.
Ventilation Systems
Turkey house ventilation systems are critical for maintaining air quality, removing moisture/ammonia, and controlling temperature to ensure flock health and comfort. We will design systems to meet the specification of the building in partnership with a chosen supplier.
Windows
A number of design options for windows are available that consider environment, noise and production cycles. For natural daylight UPVC or timber framed windows can be installed into new and existing turkey houses.
Corridors
To support biosecurity on larger turkey houses we can design and incorporate interconnecting corridors. These work efficiently for multiple houses can be specified to be operationally efficient which supports overall welfare of the flock.
