Since Powell & Co’s inception in 1998, Don and Jason have been committed to supporting the local community and raising money for national charities, many of which resonate with the Powell’s team. During the last 28 years, they have contributed more than £250,000. Below are a few of our more recently engaged projects and charities.
Boparan Charitable Trust
On 17 June 2026, members of the Powell & Co are taking an extraordinary challenge: scaling Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, rising to an impressive 4,167 metres in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.
Mount Toubkal stands taller than the three highest peaks in the UK combined and is over 30 times higher than the London Eye.
They are undertaking this epic adventure to raise as much money as possible for the Boparan Charitable Trust, whose vital work transforms the lives of children living with disabilities, life-limiting conditions, and those facing extreme poverty.

Watton Sports & Recreational Centre
Powell & Co supported the installation of a new 3G Pitch at Watton Sports & Recreational Centre in Thetford, Norfolk.
The 3G (third-generation) pitch is a synthetic, all-weather sports surface featuring long-pile artificial grass blades, infilled with a combination of sand and rubber crumbs to replicate the feel of natural grass. These durable pitches allow for heavy use—up to 80 hours a week—and are designed for football and rugby.
The Powell & Co team received a Certificate of Appreciation for their generous donation and becoming a Business Friend of Watton Sports & Recreational Centre.
Leominster in Bloom
Powell & Co Construction is an annual supporter of Leominster in Bloom.
Leominster is a historic market town in the Marches. Local to Powell & Co Construction the town takes pride in the blooms, the community’s support and the sponsorship of local businesses.

Eaton Barn, Leominster
The Poultry Houses and Outdoor Classroom were donated by Powell & Co to Echo for the Eaton Barn community garden on the outskirts of Leominster continue to support participants one year on.
The four-acre community garden provides a tranquil natural environment for charity participants to engage with projects such as looking after chickens, growing fruit and vegetables, garden design and woodwork.
St Michael’s Hospice, Herefordshire
A summer house was donated and built by the Powell & Co team at St Michael’s Hospice in Herefordshire.
The local hospice helps people and their families who are affected by terminal illness. It provides all its care free of charge to patients, their families and carers. This care is made possible by supporters taking part in fundraising events, playing St Michael’s Lottery, shopping at Hospice retail outlets, making charitable donations and leaving gifts in their Will.
